The platform MAP incorporates societies and scientifique bodies dedicated to the areas of mathematics, astronomy and physics. It supports the organisations’ activities and coordinates and promotes research and education in the field of mathematics, astronomy and physics.

The “National Committee of the Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale” (NC URSI) of the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) represents the Swiss radio science community within the International Union of Radio Science (Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale URSI).
The non-governmental and non-profit organisation URSI is responsible for stimulating and co-ordinating, studies, research, applications, scientific exchange, and communication in the fields of radio science on an international basis. The various branches of radio science are allocated to a set of ten commissions. Swiss scientists are actively participating in several commissions. The NC URSI is coordinating these activities together with the communication between URSI and the Swiss institutions and supports the organisation of international conferences.

NC URSI is a working group within the Platform Mathematics, Astronomy and Physics.
