Free-Space Optical Quantum Communication Using Drones
Thanks to a voucher, General Atomics Synopta and FHNW launched a collaboration that achieved a key milestone in drone-based optical communication, successfully demonstrating a laser link between a drone platform and an optical ground station. The results pave the way for the next phase: testing quantum communication protocols via drone under realistic atmospheric conditions.
