The platform MAP incorporates societies and scientifique bodies dedicated to the areas of mathematics, astronomy and physics. It supports the organisations’ activities and coordinates and promotes research and education in the field of mathematics, astronomy and physics.

The Young Faculty Meeting of the Platform MAP offers young researchers with a leading position at Swiss universities the opportunity to network with each other. In addition, they receive information and tools to enable them to better master challenges in the academic professional environment.

Young Faculty Meeting 2022

The Young Faculty Meeting 2022 will take place on 6 September 2022 at the Berner Generationenhaus. You can register via until 16 August. Please indicate your first and last name and the institution where you work. The prerequisite for participation is a leading position at a Swiss university and that your PhD degree was completed no more than ten years ago.

Young Faculty Science Talks

We are looking forward to a science talk on each of the fields of MAP - mathematics, astronomy, and physics.

Workshop: Conflicts in various hierarchical situations

Kathrin Küchler from the Leadership and Development Department at the University of Basel explains constructive approaches to conflicts in your everyday work as a researcher. In particular, she addresses different hierarchical situations - conflict with superiors, peers and group members.

The skills acquired are practised and improved in role plays.
